Job description, responsibilities and duties

Assure the construction and follow-up of the “Internal Logistic master plan” for all the Nidec ACIM plants, aiming to reach the highest internal logistic standards according to the 5Y strategy.  Lead the “Logistic Streams”, inside the Company's 3Q6S program, focusing on driving the plants in the application of the logistic methods & tools to improve KPIs results Develop the most adequate technology for Logistic solutions and standardize the application where needed. Participate in Large projects and lead directly the implementation of specific logistic technological solutions in the plants as a pilot.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support regions/plants in the construction and follow up of the “Internal Logistic master plan” linked with the “Productivity Improvement Program”  sharing standards and best practices among them.

2. Manage the “Logistic Stream” inside the 3Q6S Central Team Organization focus to drive the plants in the application of the “Lean Manufacturing” logistic methods & tools to improve KPIs results in cooperation with the other Central Team Leaders designing a common strategy.

3. Build the appropriate “Logistic Stream” training material and disseminate it to improve the knowledge in the regions/plants

4. Lead Internal Logistic improvement workshops supporting the regions/plants

5. Manage the governance of the 1st Level KPIs about the dimension “Delivery” and more specific Internal Logistic KPIs to measure and assure the improvement.

6. Be a reference point in terms of technology development for Logistic solutions, drive test and standardize the application.

7. Participate in Large projects and lead the implementation of specific logistic technological solutions in the plants as a pilot. Specific focus on initiatives related to new plants/lines to capture the opportunities of the best logistics since the design stage of the project​

Personality requirements and skills

Must-have Hard Skills: WCM methodology/ Lean Manufacturing and specific methods & tools knowledge on Internal Logistic topics (good level); Spreadsheets (Excel, G Sheets, etc); Presentation skills (PPT, G Slides, etc)


Good-to-have Hard Skills: Experience in the application of Logistic operation mapping (MTM); 5T; Spaghetti chart; Value Stream Mapping (VSM); Line feeding and Mizusumashi process; Ideal packaging


Soft Skills: Good communication; International approach; Level of Energy to promote the changes; Logical & Analytical thinking;Organization; Attention to detail​
