Job description, responsibilities and duties

For our client - a global eCommerce company, we are looking for a skilled candidate to join the Global Product Classification Services (PCS) team in the VAT department. The main goal of this position is to ensure that thousands of customers pay the correct tax rate for the purchased product. The successful candidate will be responsible for classifying a variety of products for tax purposes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing classification, sorting, and standardization of products based on given criteria
  • Participating in regular and ad-hoc meetings (with communication in English in an internationally composed team)
  • Analyzing information in databases, using internal tools and applications, checking daily alerts and notifications
  • Ensuring appropriate categorization of products for correct tax classification
